Hello everyone,

Thank you for working so hard last night. We cantered through both works, with some stops along the way to admire the view. I was very encouraged by how confident much of it was - just waiting for an orchestra and a sense of occasion, with an audience. Satisfaction levels for the evening hovered around 7/8 out of 10!

Seating: Next week we will rearrange the lower voices - tenors in the front 2 rows, and basses in the back 3. Happy huddling.

Huge thanks to 'Chaiman' Ted for planning the seating and shepherding you all.

We will thank Ted formally for being stage manager for so many years, and welcome his successor......

We will sing as much of the programme as possible but troubleshooting with the following plan:

Hummel:
Dona nobis (p74) including transition from p73
Agnus dei (p70) and into to the Dona nobis
Sanctus (p52)
Kyrie (p5) bar 48 to the end
Sing through the Gloria

WE ARE NOT PERFORMING THE BENEDICTUS!

Mozart:
Cum sancto (p79)
Agnus dei (p72)
Hosanna (pages 70 & 63)
Confutatis - sorting the harmony changes from p39

Please check out your own remaining gremlins (an imaginary mischievous sprite regarded as responsible for an unexplained problem or fault)
I am happy to cover anything you request next week - you are probably not alone in needing support....

One last push, we are nearly there. It is going to be a fabulous concert, we have great players and amazing soloists and just have to enjoy ourselves now!
