New Members are Warmly Welcomed

New to the area? Always wanted to join a choir, would like to rejoin a choir, or just fancy giving singing a go? Then come along and try Exeter Choral Society. 

It is preferable if you can please contact us if you would like to join us, so that we can provide you with more information. No auditions are necessary, but some sight reading ability is helpful. Subscriptions are £50 per term (two terms per annum) - if this might cause you financial difficulty, have a word with our Treasurer (Yvonne) as we may be able to assist with this. There is a small reduction for full-time students with a valid NUS card. Members are welcome to buy their own vocal scores but most choose to hire them from us for a small charge of £2.50 per item. For some performances you will need a black folder, at the discretion of our MD.

“I absolutely love this choir!  From the first few minutes when I arrived in January (at the second rehearsal), feeling rather apprehensive, I was bowled over by how friendly everyone was, and also how efficiently organised. I was most impressed when Peter came down to introduce himself to me! And then Corinne from the altos also came to introduce herself and help me find a seat.

I loved the warm up… and knew almost immediately that this was the choir for me! I also loved the cool down with a lullaby!  

Peter is simply superb! A wonderful musician, but also such a brilliant teacher, and with a wonderful sense of humour. I have also found it extremely useful to have Peter’s notes before and after rehearsals.
