Exeter Choral Society is a friendly non-auditioning, mixed-voice choir; we perform two concerts each year with professional soloists and musicians. We are a registered charity (number 1110060).

LATEST UPDATE

The Trustees regret that, in the light of Government advice, it was prudent to cancel face-to-face rehearsals in Spring 2020 and to postpone our May 2020 concert.

We are very grateful to Laurence Blyth for leading some Autumn singing sessions for choir members via Zoom, and we are continuing these sessions from January 2011 until it is safe to resume in-person rehearsals.

We are currently expanding our repertoire and learning Durufle Requiem. After Easter we shall move on to Mozart Missa Brevis K275.

All choir members should receive occasional email updates from the choir - if you have not had these, please check your Spam folder or contact the Secretary, to ensure that she has your correct email address, using the Contact Us form.

REHEARSALS

In normal circumstances, we rehearse in central Exeter at the
Palace Gate Centre (South Street Baptist Church),
Exeter EX1 1JA
on Tuesday evenings (September to May) at 7.15 pm until 9.00 pm.

New members are very welcome to join our friendly choir. Please contact us if you would like to join us, either whilst we rehearse via Zoom or when we restart in-person rehearsals, so that we can provide you with more information. No auditions are necessary, but some sight reading ability is helpful. Membership, in normal times, is £40 per term (or £35 for full-time students with a valid NUS card).
